This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Hours:   Full-time 37.5 hours per week worked Monday to Friday

About the role

You will be joining a small, dedicated team to support departments across the Hospice. This will include tasks such as responding to Maintenance requests submitted via the Maintenace Helpdesk system and testing portable equipment.

The maintenance team play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Hospice and you will get the experience of a variety of tasks.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the maintenance of Ashgate Hospice premises to a standard set by the Head of Estates.
  • Assist in the maintenance of all radiator cleaning, light fitting cleaning, extractor fan cleaning and the cleaning of showerheads and waste traps. 
  • Ensure all practical aspects of current legislation are carried out e.g. Fire, COSHH, Health and Safety, Legionella, Medical Gases, HTM guidance.
  • To provide a general portering service to Ashgate Hospice including pharmacy runs to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital using hospice vehicles.
